Clans of Ireland
The Clann is a Member
of the Clans of Ireland. At the time of writing, the Patron of the Clans of
Ireland was the then President
of Ireland; the current President has not yet extended their patronage.
The following images are of the late Mac Aodhagáin, Dr Michael J.S. Egan,
at the 2019 AGM prior to his passing September 9, 2021.
Dr Egan was a long time member of the Council and made many significant contributions
to the Clans of Ireland and its establishment including the Clans
of Ireland Order of Merit. Dr Egan, Mr Byron Egan and Professor Greg Egan,
of our Clann, have been awarded the CIOM.
At his passing, his daughter Katrina was invited to the position of Mac
Aodhagáin of the Clann, honouring the continuity of the family's
association with the name. She has since announced her resignation, and the
position is now vacant.
