The Advanced Network Systems Performance and Applications Group

ANSPAG is an unincorporated joint venture between Telstra, Siemens and Monash University formed under the Cooperative Research Centre program of the Department of Industry Science and Technology.

Based at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, the ANSPAG team has constructed a significant Network Testbed for research into advanced networking. The group also runs some important pilot trials, particularly in the field of video communications, such as local and wide area Video on Demand systems, and high quality video conferencing.

ANSPAG researchers are looking at network performance issues and traffic management. There is a full suite of network protocol analysers within the Network Testbed to assist in gathering data for this research.
