ATM for Intranets (1 Day)

This course will provide an overview of ATM technology and how the technology is applicable to large corporate networks. The course will go on to describe how to take advantage of the advanced features that new ATM switching equipment can provide.
The course is offered at regular intervals through the year.

Mobile Networks & Systems (1 day)

An introduction to mobile communication networks and systems and an appreciation of the emerging importance of mobile communications services. The course describes the emerging "second generation" digital networks such as GSM, as well as the future vision of "personal communication networks".
The course is offered at regular intervals through the year.

Audio Visual Services for Enterprise Networks (1 day)

The course will provide you with a practical introduction to the latest developments in audio video services for enterprise networks. You will gain an understanding of audio & video conferencing and retrieval applications, and how to deliver them over residential, local area and public wide area networks. You will acquire knowledge of the different compression formats, video communication standards, video retrieval systems and examine case studies. A range of video and audio services and applications will be demonstrated. The course will enable participants to assess the impact of the growing use of audio-visual services on their organisation, and how this could benefit them.
The course is offered at regular intervals through the year.

New Telecommunication Network Options

With the changes in the regulatory environment on 1 July 1997, the Australian telecommunications market is now more open to competition. There are potential savings to businesses, but businesses now need more understanding of the available network technologies to make appropriate choices.
The course will provide a brief overview of the commiunication products available before 1997, and provide a review of new network products from the major carriers that have become recently available. The review will cover ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, satellite and leased services.
The course is offered at regular intervals through the year.

ISDN - Hands On (1 day)

A hands on introduction to ISDN using commercially available ISDN equipment. A set of experiments designed to illustrate the use of ISDN and the signalling between customer equipment and the network for both basic and primary rate access.
This course is available "on demand" for small groups of up to six.

Telecommunications and Corporate Management

Focuses on the management of telecommunications as a corporate and strategic resource for increasing productivity, management effectiveness and competitive advantage. It provides coverage of the underlying change processes of information technology and the capability of modern telecommunications for information delivery, and for the support of flexible organisation structures.
This is available as a Corporate Seminar in various forms. Two hour presentation, Half day seminar, or Full day workshop.

Introduction to ATM (1-3 Days)

ANSPAG can also offer a range of tailored courses designed to introduce the technology and basic theory behind Asynchronous Transfer Mode. The aim of these courses ranges from: demystifying "Sales TechnoTalk", thus empowering the Network Manager; to an in-depth analysis of ATM technologies, applications, and hands on training on the ANSPAG Network Testbed Facility.
Currently available "on demand". Over eighty participants have attended these courses during the last twelve months, and they have proved very popular.
