The Research Data Network CRC interacts with the public primarily through demonstrations (over 200 demonstrations during 1997/98) and presentations at major industry events. The McIver application is widely accessible on the campuses of Monash University, and it is also available for public use in the State Library of Victoria. The activities of the CRC have been reported in internal organisation newsletters (such as in Monash University) and major newspapers such as The Age and The Australian. Internet World-Wide-Web sites maintained by the CRC are also a major source of information for the general public, with many inquiries for postgraduate study and consulting resulting from Internet searches.
