Objective

The Resource Discovery Project (RDP) is improving commercial competitiveness by fostering research collaboration to develop technologies for seamless access to and management of globally distributed heterogeneous information services.

Introduction

The Resource Discovery Project (RDP) investigates technologies for the effective publishing and retrieval of electronic information and services on the Internet and World-Wide Web.

The RDP is focussed on producing solutions in the dissemination, discovery, and access to digital resources for problems for large public and private organisations. The wide range of information sources - both within an organisation and outside - and the desired permanence and intrinsic value of the information - requires innovative and scalable access and retrieval solutions.
