CACTUS Project

Project Leader Jordi Robert-Ribes

The CACTUS (Computerised Alignment of Captioned Television Using Speech processing) project, led by Jordi Robert-Ribes investigated the application of automatic speech recognition (ASR) techniques, audio processing, and video processing in the problem domain of automated captioning. CACTUS was undertaken in close collaboration with captioners from the Australian Caption Centre.
